They'll usually be pretty receptive and you won't have much competition in that moment.Ī few variables need to line up for that to happen, so that easier move is probably the road more traveled and more traveled for a reason, going towards the McKinney Uptown scene and the higher concentration of straight women.Sure, I’ve witnessed first-hand the changes Oak Lawn and the surrounding areas have gone through over the years, but at its core, much has stayed the same. But yes, if you can go to a gay club with a gay person, you can find straight women there with gay male friends. I don't know a lot of straight men with non-straight friends, though I'm sure they exist. Just play the angle that you are there supporting your gay friend and some of these women will eat it up. I joke about this to my wife but would probably seriously try this if I was single.and that would to make friend with a gay person and go hang out at gay bars to pick up on these women. Each time, I have notice some very attractive straight women there hanging out with her gay friends.just like how my wife does. My wife has a lot of very close gay male friends and because of that, I've actually been to a few gay bars.

Here it seems like a lot of hot women have gay friends. I'm actually out in CA so it might be a bit different in TX. This might sound odd but you can actually meet a lot of straight women at gay hang outs. The area is really fun, active and well located for jobs. gays are by and large fabulous neighbors, good people and neighborhood builders. Stipulation I'm straight, married with kids etc. I was born here and live here now and plan to stay for my duration. Really nice place with lots of straight men, and women. (Knox is to the west side of the street, Henderson to the east, and 75 runs between them) I have a guy friend who lives at Camden Belmont, which is off of Henderson. You may like the Henderson side of Knox-Henderson. Someone else mentioned Knox-Henderson area, I love it there too and am currently trying to decide between there and Oak Lawn. Plus, lots of straight women have gay male friends I talked to several residents in the area over the last few weeks and not everyone who lives down there is gay/lesbian. I love the vibe down there as well, and I am a straight female. Ronnie gave me some input as well and was quite helpful.

I currently live a bit north by the Dallas Galleria, but I actually put a deposit down to hold a place at Illume.

I also moved to Dallas from the East Coast, it's been almost a year for me. That is exactly what I want to avoid.Ĭan anyone comment on oak lawn and help me figure out if it is a place where I could meet a decent amount of single women. Just kind of worried that there will be nothing but dudes around when I decide to go out. I personally don't have a problem with people that choose to be with same sex. Spoke to a coworker today and was told that the Oak Lawn neighborhood is a known as the main focal point for gay men and women. Very close to a nice strip with tons of restaurants. Recently came across a really nice set of apartments called the Ilume and Ilume Park whichĪre both located in Oak Lawn. In process of searching for an apartment. Recently moved to Dallas from east coast.
